Welcome to the website for the International School of Kigali. ISK is a new school beginning its inaugural year in September of 2009. ISK was born out the desire for an international school that delivers a high-quality education to students residing in Kigali. The school currently has approximately 90 students, pre-school through secondary. ISK has initiated the international accreditation process during this first academic year. The curriculum delivered at ISK will be based on an American-styled approach, utilizing international best practices. A full program will be offered that includes studies in art, foreign language, physical education, and many other co-curricular classes.
ISK embraces the diversity of its students and staff and encourages students to develop an appreciation for Rwanda through service, education, and off-site activities. Students attending ISK will be given an education that will prepare them to attend any university worldwide. ISK is a private, non-profit, parent governed school, located in a quiet neighborhood in Rwanda’s capital, Kigali.
